In 2018, with the support of CSR experts, we launched the “Change For Good” project to accelerate and structure our initiatives for more sustainable development of our activities. In 2020, the Group structured its approach, and Change For Good became the common corporate project for all brands. Our challenge? To transform ourselves profoundly to meet the expectations of all our stakeholders.
Change for Good
Reinventing a more virtuous, sustainable, and responsible business model
Transformation and innovation have always been part of the Eram Group’s history and are firmly rooted in its DNA. Since the beginning of the industrial adventure in 1927, the Group has undergone profound changes. Over time and in the face of the upheavals of history and the global economy, the company has had to adapt in order to continue to develop, while respecting the human values to which it is deeply attached.

Innovating at the heart of an inspiring ecosystem
AUDENCIA POSITIVE IMPACT CHAIR
Since 2013, the Eram Group has been a partner of the Positive Impact Chair run by the Nantes business school Audencia.
This partnership is part of a sustainable development approach that forms part of our overall corporate strategy. Through the Positive Impact Chair, the Group has joined a network of teachers, researchers, students, and companies.
This network provides insight into changes in commerce and social and environmental issues, turning them into drivers of innovation and performance.
BALI CHAIR
Founded in 2017, the BALI (Biarritz Active Lifestyle Industry) Chair is a teaching and research program bringing together players in the fashion and textile industries who wish to collaborate with the ESTIA engineering school on the environmental, societal, and economic transition of the industry.
The BALI Chair was born out of a shared diagnosis among various industrial and academic players in the innovation and fashion sector: new lifestyles and consumption patterns are raising new challenges that tomorrow’s industry must address. All share a desire to work together to develop this sector and anticipate the challenges their industries will face.
DESIGN FACTORY
The Design Factory Nantes is an innovation program offered by Nantes University and the Nantes Atlantique School of Design, which addresses business issues through the prism of usage, from idea to prototype. The program aims to bridge the gap between the academic and entrepreneurial worlds by creating an intermediate space where students work on professional projects in an operational and autonomous manner, combining engineering, design, and digital cultures.
For its second edition, Design Factory Nantes has partnered with Gémo to reflect on how to improve the customer experience in the footwear sector in our stores. After an immersive visit to a Gémo store in September 2021, a team of six students worked for four months on a prototyping phase as part of an interdisciplinary workshop at the ManufacturingLab in Nantes.
REFASHION
It is the state-approved eco-organization for the textile, household linen, and footwear industry. Created in 2008, it brings together marketers, local authorities, sorting operators, project leaders, and citizens around a common goal: to reduce the industry’s environmental impact. Its three areas of action for more responsible fashion are: better production, better consumption, and better material regeneration.
The Eram Group is one of its founding members and sits on its board of directors.
